Marina di Pisa is just 20 minutes from Pisa. All year long, shops and restaurants, bars, and discotheques are open.
It is a tiny town that was founded in the early 1900's. Many of the locals are fishermen. However for the past ten years it has been changing. Particularly now that the seaport was opened in 2013. It is a nice spot with restaurants and gelaterias. |
My favorite places in Marina di Pisa
One of my favorite beaches is Bagno Gorgona. Why do I like it? Well, it has a natural pool surrounded by big stones with the possibility to be out into the sea from two sides. It has a small sand beach perfect for small children. Also the people that frequents it every summer are family oriented. It has games, and a small snack bar. Please note that in Italy, a coffee place is called a bar. In Via Maiorca there are two places I love because they are inexpensive and yummy! One is the a cecina/focaccine place that also sells pizza by slices, and right next to it there is a fish place that has fresh salads and fried fish (the fish is fresh). |
