The small town of Collodi in the Comune of Pescia is famous for the Medieval street, the gorgeous garden of Garzoni open to the public, however the villa is private property, but you can see the beautiful architecture as you walk up the narrow medieval street. Also this town is famous for Carlo Collodi the writer of Pinocchio. As a young child he used to come here to visit his maternal grandparents. He loved the intricate and narrow streets. When he wrote the story of Pinocchio is was evident for him that the town had to be where he spent his childhood.
